Giving to the Graduate School

Giving Levels

Your gift plays a vital role in shaping Carolina's future and helps the Graduate School meet its highest priority of attracting the best minds to Carolina. There are various levels of giving to the Graduate School:

The Dean's Club

The Graduate Dean's Club members are the most generous and loyal supporters of graduate education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Members of the Dean's Club - who give an annual gift of $1,000 or more or a lifetime gift of $50,000 or more - are invited to special campus events and seminars. They also receive The Fountain, a publication that highlights the latest research and news in graduate education at UNC-Chapel Hill, and other regular updates about what's happening at the Graduate School.

Jonathan Grabowski, former graduate student in ecology and member of the Society of Fellows

The University of North Carolina Hardin Fellowship provided me with the unique opportunity to focus solely on finishing my dissertation work. ... I am confident that without the fellowship, I would not have graduated as quickly given the amount of effort required to finish a dissertation. Furthermore, the quality of my dissertation and my attitude toward the entire graduate experience benefited immeasurably from this ability to give my undivided attention to my graduate work.

It is our responsibility, here at Carolina, to provide an environment in which our graduate students acquire both the knowledge and the skills that will enable them to lead in a world of continual discovery and change. We strive to create an environment for graduate education that encourages excellence. Our ability to do that depends upon the support of our many committed friends.
