Graduate Student Center – Usage Guidelines

Graduate School staff and related groups (I.e.student organizations) have priority for usage of the space.

Reservation timing:

We encourage you to reserve an extra 30 minutes at the end of an event to allow time for clean-up and for people to exit the space before the next event begins.

For possible seating arrangements, including small groups, conference and theater style arrangements, please view the Graduate Student Center seating planspdf icon.

Food:

Catering/Food is allowed. If served, food should be limited to individually packaged snacks and drinks, when possible.

Cleaning:

Clorox wipes are provided (depending on supply availability). Tables and arm rests of chairs must be wiped down after an event. Each group is responsible for cleaning post-event. All spaces used for the event must be left in a clean and mutually agreed upon condition. Trash, bottles, cans, and decorations must be disposed of at the end of the event. Trash must be removed immediately after the event is complete.

Technology:

The GSC is connected to UNC's eduroam wireless network. GSC staff are not responsible for assisting with technology needs and troubleshooting.
