Graduation Deadlines
Process to apply for graduation:
- Complete the Graduation check-out page in ConnectCarolina's Self Service area:
Log in to MYUNC -> Connect Carolina -> In your Student Center, under the "Academic" tab, choose "Apply for Graduation" in the drop-down box, and then click the double arrows - Complete the online Graduate School Application to Graduate form at eGraduation Central
MAY 2012
- Friday, February 10, 2012:
- Last day for Graduate Students to apply to graduate at eGraduation Central and ConnectCarolina
- Monday, April 9, 2012 before 4 PM:
- Due date for submission of electronic doctoral dissertations and master's theses
- Saturday, May 12, 2012:
- Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
- Sunday, May 13, 2012:
- Spring University Commencement Ceremony and Degree Award Date

AUGUST 2012
- Tuesday, July 10, 2012:
- Last day for Graduate Students to apply to graduate at eGraduation Central and ConnectCarolina
- Monday, July 16, 2012 before 4 PM:
- Due date for submission of electronic doctoral dissertations and master's theses
- Monday, August 13, 2012:
- Degree Award Date for August graduates
DECEMBER 2012
- Friday, October 12, 2012:
- Last day for Graduate Students to apply to graduate at eGraduation Central and ConnectCarolina
- Monday, November 19, 2012 before 4 PM:
- Due date for submission of electronic doctoral dissertations and master's theses
- Sunday, December 16, 2012:
- Mid-Year Commencement for August and December graduates
- Degree Award Date for December graduates
