The University encourages dual programs in appropriate disciplines to provide exceptionally strong students with substantive educational opportunities that enhance the quality of the student experience at Carolina.
The Graduate School works closely with others on campus to develop innovative dual degree programs that allow students to earn their bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in a coordinated fashion. Opportunities exist in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

We are pleased you are interested in pursuing a dual degree at Carolina! The listing of dual bachelor's-graduate degrees shows currently approved dual degree programs. Programs will want to learn of your interest in pursuing both degrees as early as possible to best advise you.
Please feel free to consult your academic advisor or director of undergraduate studies in your intended major for further information.
For Faculty
Faculty and staff interested in creating a new dual degree program for undergraduate and graduate students should review the Guidelines for Developing and Implementing Dual Bachelor's-Graduate Degree Programs.
Prior to beginning any formal planning, programs should consult with The Graduate School to discuss the proper procedures and documentation necessary for a successful academic planning process. Please contact the Associate Dean for Academics for further information. We are happy to address questions and review drafts of proposals in advance of formal approvals.
