UNC-Chapel Hill External Award Winners

We congratulate all UNC-Chapel Hill graduate students who have won external fellowships! These include prestigious, nationally competitive awards, such as federal and foundation fellowships, grants and awards. Each April we celebrate these achievements at the Annual Graduate Student Recognition Celebration.

If you or a graduate student you know has won an external award, we would like to recognize this achievement. Please send in the winner’s name and the name of the award to gfic@unc.edu. We will include their name on this website among the list of award winners.

This list features fellowships and award winners, from 2007 to 2023, who personally applied to the external agency for the award, won the award in an open competition and received the award from an awarding agency that did not require the student work a significant amount of time.
