Homestead Dog Park

Dogs need exercise as much as humans do. That's why the Chapel Hill and Carrboro parks and recreation departments, in cooperation with local nonprofit groups, have opened a number of Dog Parks, fenced-in areas where dogs may run leash-free. There are Dog Parks located in Anderson Park, off Highway 54 in Carrboro and at Homestead Park off Homestead Road in Chapel Hill. Popular for socializing among both owners and pets, they can only succeed when people understand the etiquette. Before you pack up your pooch, be sure to print a copy of the "Dog Park Rules." You can find them at the following address: http://www.ci.carrboro.nc.us/rp/PDFs/DogparkRules(sign).pdf.
