About the Society
The Frank Porter Graham Graduate and Professional Student Honor Society (founded 1993) recognizes outstanding service provided to the University and community by graduate and professional students enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Further, it recognizes the contributions of faculty, staff, and friends of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who have made outstanding contributions to the development of graduate and professional education at the University.
There are two categories of members, regular members and honorary members.
- Regular members include all people inducted to the Frank Porter Graham Graduate and Professional Student Honor Society prior to 2002 and all individuals inducted to the Society while graduate or professional students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
- Honorary members are faculty, staff, or friends of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who have been inducted into the Society for outstanding contributions to the development of graduate and professional student education at the University

Nomination Procedure
In 2022 the Frank Porter Graham Graduate and Professional Student Honor Society did not accept nominations for new inductees. If current members of the graduate and professional student body would like to reinstate the organization please contact the advisor listed below.
